A makeover photoshoot is a rare opportunity to feel glamorous with talented makeup artists and photographers on hand to style your shoot, show you how to pose and feel amazing in front of the camera. Your shoot could be inspired by anything you love; from 1950s hollywood to gothic romance, every shoot has its own unique style. What’s your style?
Who are the ladies featured on your website?
The women in our gallery are our clients, not professional models. Most had never had a professional photoshoot before and all of them were anxious when they booked, but they were thrilled with the results and kindly gave us permission to share their favourite portraits with you.
Am I too old/curvy/skinny for a makeover photoshoot?
No! Any woman over 10 years old can book a makeover session with us. We have years of experience photographing women of all ages, shapes and sizes and will tailor your portraits to suit your style, figure and personality.
Can I share my photoshoot with a loved one?
Many ladies choose to share their makeover photoshoot with their partner, mother, sister or daughter and we’ll happily include images of you together alongside your individual portraits in the studio. We’ve had some very special photoshoots with three or even four generations of ladies together and it can be wonderful to share this experience with loved ones.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes, makeover sessions are by appointment only and we take a £50 refundable deposit for every shoot to guarantee your booking.
Can I book a photoshoot for someone else?
Makeover photography is a very personal service, so every woman must book for herself. However, if you’d like to treat someone to a confidence boost then you can purchase a gift voucher from our online shop.
Is makeup and hair styling included?
You’ll start with makeup and hair styling with one of our professionally trained, experienced makeup artists who will ensure you look and feel amazing before you set foot in the studio.
What should I wear?
Bring along a selection of your favourite clothes, shoes, jewellery and accessories so that we can put together some fantastic outfits for the shoot. If you’re sharing your session and would like some portraits together, then it’s also important to ensure that some of your outfits coordinate.
How can I personalise my photos?
You could bring something that represents your hobby or profession e.g. musical instruments or uniform. We’ve had a cello, boxing gloves and even a samurai sword in the studio; so please let us know if you have a passion you’d like to represent in your portraits.
How will I know how to pose?
Your photographer will direct you throughout the session, so you won’t be put on the spot. However, if you have any ideas then please let us know.
Do you airbrush my photos?
We prefer to capture your images naturally with great makeup, flattering lighting and thoughtful posing. However, airbrushing is a very personal decision. We’ll happily gently retouch your images before printing, so please ask if you’d like us to soften scars or remove a tattoo etc.
How do I order my photos?
You’ll be able to view and order your images straight after your photoshoot while the whole family is with us. In your private viewing we’ll show you all the portraits on our HD projector and your consultant will guide you through the options and help you design your personal portrait collection.
How can I present my photos?
We offer a hand-picked collection of wall art and bespoke albums to choose from. Most ladies choose a selection of their favourite portraits to be bound into a beautiful book to treasure or a striking image to hang on the wall as a symbol of their unique style and a constant reminder of how they felt on the day of their shoot.
When will I receive my finished order?
Everything will be ready for collection within 6 weeks of ordering. However, if you’re working to a deadline for a birthday or anniversary then we’ll do all we can to expedite your order.
